Gates: Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to the Lord, January 4, 2010 at age 93. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Herman; sisters, Gertrude Dries, Bertha Miller and Marie Matt; brothers, Joseph, Gustave and Charles Lortscher. She is survived by her daughter, Noreen (George) Slate; sons, Gary, Richard (Joanne) and Michael Dries; grandchildren, James Rivers, Karen Rivers, Cheryl Dries, Stephen Dries, Melissa (John) Clarke, Amy (Jeff) Reese, Alicia Dries; great-grandchildren, Gregory Dries, Jennifer Rivers, Katlyn Rivers, Zachery Dries, Zoe Dries, Sierra Rivers, Tripp Clarke, Peyton Clarke, Sullivan Clarke, Morgan Reese, Grace Reese, Sophia Reese and Aden Wiser; several nieces and nephews.
No prior calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 9:30 AM at St. Helen's Church, 310 Hinchey Road. Interment, Grove Place Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gates Ambulance, 1600 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624.
