Born July 18, 1915 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Harold Burton Vinton and Olive Lewis Vinton. Predeceased by her parents, her brother, Don Lewis Vinton, and her son, David Pond. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Pond and granddaughter, Tammy (Donald) Suhr.
Miriam graduated high school in Oxford, MA in 1934. She was married in 1942 to George Ashley Pond, and later had one son, David. She worked for several employers, holding jobs at Diamond Match Company, Mass Mutual Insurance Company, and Sears Roebuck. In 1951, the family moved to Rochester, NY. Miriam joined Eastman Kodak, where she worked for 30 years In Employee Sales.
Miriam had many interests, ranging from cooking to ceramics fabrication, throwing dinner parties, browsing photographs, and her undying love of cats.
