Muriel M. Wiemer (Nee Krug)

Rochester, NY: September 23, 2020, the matriarch from the large family of Harry William and Anna Laura Krug featuring thirteen offspring is now resting in peace with her predeceased loved ones which includes her only child and son, Kenneth J. Wiemer. She was also predeceased by her five brothers, Charles, Jerome, Donald, Dean, and Kenneth Krug and her six sisters, Betty, Miriam, Norma, Rosemarie, Joan, Patricia, and Margaret. She was born in Rochester, NY June 19, 1923, graduated from John Marshall High School and was employed by General Motors / Delco Plant for nearly 30 years becoming the first women to oversee assembly lines and advance into a manufacturing supervisor position. She traveled widely, including trips to Mexico, Italy, Norway, France, Shanghai, Japan, China and to Taiwan to see and visit the child she supported remotely and considered to be her adopted daughter. Upon retirement, she started her own card-making business and volunteered extensively at Strong Memorial Hospital Cancer Center for Children, Literacy Volunteers among many others. She is survived by 31 nieces and nephews, and 49 great-nieces and nephews who are scattered across the country and already miss her spark, energy and spirit.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Parish of the Holy Family, St. Jude Church, 4100 Lyell Avenue, Rochester, NY.
