Barkley, Murray E. "Red"
Rochester: Passed away on Tuesday, June 09, 2009 at the age of 85. Predeceased by parents, Murray and Mary Barkley; grandson, AJ Radzio. He leaves his wife of 61 years, Marion "Dolly" (Bills); daughter, Susan (Carl) Radzio; son, Robert Mark Barkley; grandchildren, Amanda and Clint Barkley of Australia, Jason Barkley, Matthew (Sonya) Radzio, Michael and Jakob Radzio.
Murray served in WW II in the Navy aboard the ship Nevada in the invasion of Normandy. He retired from Kodak having spent 37 years at Kodak Park at the powerhouse as a stationary engineer. He also shot skeet for Kodak. Murray served as Commander of the Navy Post on East Ave. and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a great story teller and his family always enjoyed listening about his life on the farm in South Bristol and his many adventures throughout life.
There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Evergreen Cemetery at Baptist Hill.
