Nada Kosic known to all as Nancy, passed away Monday March 13th at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Nancy was a caring and thoughtful soul who is loved and is dearly missed by all who have had the pleasure in knowing her.
Nancy, we all know that you are up above watching down while making your infamous pineapple cake & walnut cake that everyone enjoyed greatly.
Everyone that has been left behind by Nancy's passing can take some comfort knowing that she is no longer in any pain or suffering.
A private celebration of life will be held. If you'd like to be a part of Nancy's celebration of life please reach out to Mladen Kosic at mkosic@gmail.com for the details.
Nancy was born in Belgium on April 24th 1949. She moved with her family to Montreal Canada at an early age where she started grade school. She then moved to Hamilton, Ontario where she would continue to earn high marks in school and then completed teacher college.
Eventually, Nancy left home and got married which led to her moving to the Rochester, NY area to settle down and have a family.
She worked at Kirkhaven Nursing home as the secretary of the president for many years. Her next chapter in life was to give birth to her only son, Mladen in August of 1988. Nancy was most devoted to her son's success and future and was a wonderful mother.
The two moved around a lot throughout the years but fate brought the family back to the Rochester, NY area in late 2007.
Nancy had recently retired from High Falls Property Management after working there for over a decade. Even though she wasn't working full time anymore she was ready for her next task in life. Nancy became a grandmother in July of 2022, to a little girl (Emilija) which she called her "little princess". She fell in love with her at first sight. They would vocalize and sing together, enjoyed late night feedings and Nancy especially loved to help dress Emilija. This time was precious and will be dearly remembered by her family.
Even though Nancy is gone in body she will be remembered eternally by those who loved her and those memories made will be cherished by all forever.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the American Cancer Society.
