Nedra Joan Elizabeth Salmon died peacefully at Highland Hospital on November 22, 2022 at the age of 85.
She was born on February 17, 1937 in Montreal Canada. She graduated as a registered nurse at the Montreal General Hospital in 1955 and went on to work at the Montreal Children's Hospital and then the Royal Victoria Hospital. Upon arriving in Rochester New York to be with her wife, Nedra worked as a nurse at Rochester General Hospital until she retired in 2007.
Nedra is predeceased by her beloved mother Winnifred Emily Ford, her father Berle Barcus Salmon and her brother Donald Salmon, as well as her nephews Bobbie Salmon and Peter Salmon and her niece Leslie Salmon. She is also predeceased by her loving mother in law Audrey Elaine Honey and her father in law TE Floyd Honey.
She will be sadly missed by her beloved wife of 45 years Margaret Elaine Henry, her sister in law Mary Ann (Rod) Archer, and Elizabeth O'Halloran (Stephen Baker), as well as her nephews in law Robin and Adam Archer.
Nedra was a passionate lover of animals and donated to many animal charities. She and her wife Margaret adopted and cared for many kitties throughout their time together.
She was also an avid photographer, loved to listen to classical music and was a voracious reader.
A service in her memory will be held at a later date in Toronto Canada where her family lives.
