Neil Murray

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Neil Murray, of Rochester, NY, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on March 10, 2025, at the age of 80. Neil was a devoted husband, father and grandfather (Papa), deeply loved by his family and friends.

Neil was born on the Isle of Skye July 12th, 1944 to his parents Donald and Katie Murray.

Neil is survived by his devoted wife Andrea Murray and their children Graeme, Alan (Allison) Murray, Lynne (Dan) Pabrinkis, Ian (Melanie) Macdonald. Predeceased by Graham Macdonald.

Their grandchildren, Rachel, John Murray, Cassidy (Evan), Abbey Macdonald, Jenna and Ryan Pabrinkis, Dylan and Brooke Macdonald, whom they cared for with great warmth and compassion forming a beautiful blended family that will be forever cherished.

Neil also leaves behind his brother Donald Murray, sister Donella Hunter and many nieces and nephews.

Neil is pre-deceased by his wife, Isabel Murray, sister in law Catriona Murray, his parents Donald and Katie Murray, brother in law Hugh Hunter and Graham Macdonald.

Neil enjoyed his time spent at Lake Shore Country Club, and also he loved walking his dog Max, and was an avid fan of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

He came to America in 1997 and worked as an Electrician until the age of 75. He was a very active man and enjoyed renovating homes until he was no longer able to do these things.

Neil's Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 29th at 2PM at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3000 Dewey Ave, Greece, NY 14616.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center Fund, in Neil's memory.
