ROCHESTER - Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 26th 2021 at age 87. Predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Joyce Lippa. Survived by son, Alan (Debra) Lippa; daughters, Katherine (John) Cummings, Marilyn (Joseph) Dakin, Brenda (William Forbes) Prouty, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Nick and Joyce met at a diner in the 1950's. A group had gathered to listen to him sing and it was love at first sight. Nick had an amazing and uncharacteristic singing voice. In 1954, Nick and Joyce were married at Holy Family Church. Their favorite vacation spot was Lancaster, PA, Amish Country, which they visited many, many times.
Nick was employed at Kodak, D.P.I. division, and retired in 1991.
Nick and Joyce were loyal Parishioners of St John the Evangelist Church where they shared many friendships. He attended Mass daily and lead a Prayer Group who prayed the Holy Rosary each day. Nick was also the "Prayer Line" at St John's Church. People would phone him locally and from all over the country. He would spend endless time engaging with them offering his help and prayers. Nick's devotion to the Immaculate Hearts of Mary and Jesus were paramount. He lived his life passionately guided by the compass of his Religious morals and values.
Nick was known to carry Religious Coins/Tokens that he often gifted to family, friends, parishioners, strangers whom had yet to become friends, and many people he'd encounter along his journey of life. His heart and generosity had no bounds.
Nick enjoyed time spent with his children Alan, Katherine, Marilyn and Brenda, along with their families; including his grandchildren Alan, Christopher, Nicholas, Brooke, Sabrina and Isabella. "Great Papa" would light up every time he saw his great grandchildren Noah, Ezra, Henry, Roslyn and Raelyn.
To know Nick was to love him. He was an Angel on Earth and an absolute jewel.
