He moved to Rochester, New York in 1955 when he gained employment with Eastman Kodak Co. He started his family in 1957 while working full time at Kodak and attending Rochester Institute of Technology for 4 years in the evenings (majoring in accounting). After 31 years in various positions he retired in 1986 from the Financial Services Division. He then worked part-time for the Greece Police in the records department for approximately 10 years.

Throughout his lifetime he enjoyed playing euchre, golf and baseball. He also bowled in many leagues/tournaments with his wife, son & friends. Norm was a huge sports enthusiast who spent hours watching golf and his other favorite sports teams; Buffalo Bills (Go Bills!), New York Yankees (secretly) & the Syracuse Orangemen. He was a great storyteller, huge jokester and most importantly a generous and loving husband, father & grandfather who always put the needs of others before himself. He cherished the many years he took care of and spent time with his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as his weekly “pancake” outings with his son-in-law.

A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
