Olive "Ollie" Jones made her journey home to her beloved husband Earl V Jones.
She passed away peacefully on March 21st at 93 years old.
Olive is predeceased by her husband Earl (Officer Jones), Mother Olive Bohrer, sisters June Bohrer and Rita Mahoney, daughter in Law Elizabeth Jones. She will be greatly missed by her sons Earl, Alan, and Kevin.
She is survived by her grandchildren (Sara, Christina, Laura, Christopher, Spencer, Marissa, Nicholas, Nathaniel) and many great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Olive was a long time Brighton resident. Olive and her sisters grew up during the Depression, and learned at an early age how to stretch a nickel and the value of family. Olive enjoyed sewing, exercising, cooking and crossword puzzles, and most of all, her family.
Her chocolate chip cookies and fudge were a favorite to all the family. Olive was a driving force and helped our dad with keeping things in order with his part time insurance business. She also found time to run Friday night roller skating at the 12 corners middle school in the early seventies and chaperone dances with dad at St. Agnes high school.
She would always find things for us such as sending in labels from vegetable cans for a jolly green giant kite. Olive belonged to Our Lady Queen of Peace and Our Lady of Lourdes Church over the years and never missed a Sunday Mass or Holy day.
Small but mighty, she loved her family above all else.
May we all live as beautiful a life. She was a loving, wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all she leaves behind.
One of moms favorite sayings was "That's the thing of it"
Thank you for everything.
We shall cherish our memories forever!
We Love You.
We would also like to thank all the staff at Grandeville Senior Care in Greece and the Hildebrandt Hospice.
