Irondequoit: Went home to be with the Lord, peacefully on Thursday, September 29th 2016 at age 76. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years John "Jack" Van Niel; sons, John (Laura) & Thomas (Kimberly); grandchildren, Danika, Halianna & Luc; sister, Jerry (Jim) Bush; brother, Michael Funk; brothers and sisters-inlaw; cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends who will miss her dearly. Predeceased by parents, Joseph & Charlotte Funk.
Family and friends may visit from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Tuesday, October 4th at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A Celebration of Patricia's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 5th at Victory Community Church, 1619 Manitou Road, Rochester, NY 14626.
