Patrick Joseph Mammano, 89, of Pittsford, NY, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and children on May 2, 2023. Patrick was born on July 29, 1933, in Ontario, NY, and proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War from 1953-1956. After retirement, he continued to enjoy the comradery of his fellow veterans at the Fairport VFW.
Patrick was a world-class restaurateur and was most renowned for his tenure at the Maplewood Inn on East Avenue in Pittsford, NY, from 1968-1998. He was loved by his customers and never met a stranger. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and sons.
Patrick was a man of great integrity; if he gave you his word on something, he kept it. He loved his country and his home and family with an even deeper passion. He had the gift of hospitality and made everyone feel welcome and necessary. He would remind all of us that "every day's a blessing."
Patrick is survived by his wife Patricia, sons Jason and Kip, and grandsons Jackson and Carter.
A private family service will be held to honor Patrick's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Verona Street Animal Society
