Paul Lucas Dorsey was born on Tuesday, June 10, 1952 to the late Ollie Epps Dorsey and his loving mother Elizabeth Dorsey McGee in Pittsburgh, PA. The third of four children, known as the "knee baby" were born to this Union. The family relocated to Rochester, NY in 1960. Paul attended Mt. Carmel Grade and Edison High Schools. He studied at Oswego College until an illness caused his return home. Paul was employed at the US Post Office and Eastman Kodak during Summer months.
Paul was a "Generous Giver" and a "Comical Joker" – a Real FUNNY Guy! His infectious love of laughter made others' laugh heartily. He loved to tell funny stories and humorous jokes, daily, especially with the ladies (lol). Paul was a lover of old school music. He, his brother Ricci, childhood friend, Rev. Dwight and others formed a band and gathered in his mothers attic on Shelter Street multiple times a week, where Paul played the saxophone.
Paul passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10. He loved his family and had a special bond with his mother calling her multiple times daily, just to "check in". He reminisced often about the fun family gatherings throughout the years, especially with his clan of first cousins. Paul will be fondly and deeply missed.
