Paul Drushler was a professional musician, educator, publisher, classical and jazz performer and recording artist, photographer, sailor, devoted husband, and loving father. Dr. Drushler coordinated and taught computers at WeMoCo Boces #2 and music at the College at Brockport, with a start in teaching there in the Campus (middle) School. Paul also performed on saxophone, clarinet, flute, and piano across Western New York, Tampa and Sarasota Florida, often going by "Paul Drew." In his earlier musician performing days, he was a Staff Sergeant and a clarinetist in the US Air Force Concert Band and singer in the Singing Sergeants in Washington, D.C. and before, formed his High School Jazz Band known as "Paul Drew and his Band in Blue." His sailing adventures took him all around Lake Ontario with his only (and favorite) son, both racing and cruising with his extended boating families. His spirit will always be with us, and he will be remembered for his generosity, inspiration, humor, and love.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, from 4–7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Service to follow on Friday, May 10, at 10 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, with entombment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Paul's honor to Oak Orchard Sailing School, P.O. Box 300, Albion, New York 14411, or to a hospice of your choice.
