Percy "Pert" Maxwell Powers
Passed peacefully, Monday June 2, 2008 at age 99 and is now reunited with his beloved wife of 68 years, Helen (Turney). He is survived by his loving children; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Farmer of Deer Isle, Maine; several nieces and nephews; special friend Lissette Ramos and extended family at Legacy at Park Crescent including Joanna, Wilhelmina, and Carolyn.
Percy was a Merchant Marine veteran who served on freighters in the engine rooms during WW II. He was a Ham radio operator, enjoyed caning chairs and playing bingo. Percy enjoyed his summer visits to Deer Isle, Maine where he was raised.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 14, 2008 at The Legacy, 1000 Providence Circle, Rochester, NY 14616.
