Pittsford: October 7, 2014. Predeceased by her husbands Morris Mirsky and August Leon, Laurie is survived by her beloved children Patricia (Howard) Bartolo, David (Janet) Mirsky, Karen Mirsky, Donna (Sean) Bennett, Julie (Joseph) Ketchum, and ten cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph, Abigail, Claire, Kendall, Joshua, Catherine, Jack, Samuel, and Rachel.
She is also survived by her loving brothers Merton Rubens and Jack (Helen) Rubens, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Laurie loved spending time with family, attending her grandchildren's activities, and had an insatiable appetite for Scrabble, Word Jumble, Jeopardy, and crossword puzzles.
Laurie had an extensive entertainment career playing the piano and singing at venues such as The Sherman Hotel (Chicago), The Casa Blanca, The Sherry Frontenac, Sans Souci (Miami Beach), The Breakers (Palm Beach), and The Chatham Bars Inn (Cape Cod). Her passion for entertaining continued into 2014 with gigs at various local Nursing Homes.
A lifelong resident of Rochester, Laurie was the valedictorian of her 1950 Monroe High School graduating class. In 1953 and 1954, she had her own television-talk show, The Laurie Robbins Show on Channel 10, featuring herself and other celebrities chatting and playing music. She was especially appreciated by children as evidenced by the members of her fan clubs.

Memorial service will be held Friday October 10th at 10AM at Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY.
