Went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2007, at age 103. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Maria and daughter, Mercedes Meleca. He is survived by his daughters, Antonia (Angel) Gonzalez, Maria (Enildo) Avila, Felicia (Roman) Rodriguez and Esperanza (Enrique) Fleitas; sons, Rafael (Sara) of Cuba, Esteban (Amor) of Miami, Pedro (Ana), Juan (Miriam)and son-in law Dominic Meleca; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 on Friday morning. Interment Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the First Spanish Baptist Church, 1401 Dewey Avenue, Rochester NY 14613.
