Ralph Edward Brown entered the presence of the Lord on October 24, 2017. Born in Pittsfield, MA on June 7, 1926, Ralph graduated from Pittsfield High School and, after military service in the US Army Air Corps, graduated from Gordon College and Gordon Divinity School (Boston, MA). Ralph married Pauline Kolodinski in 1951; they served together as missionaries in the Sindh province of Pakistan under the Conservative Baptist Foreign Mission Society (World Venture) until 1988. After retirement, Ralph had many years of pastoral ministry for churches in Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his sisters Edna Lind, Gracia Brown, and Lois Ives; he is survived by his wife Polly, his sister Ruth (Russ) Johnson, his children Edward (Susanna), Stanley (Tami), Thomas (Terry), Marilyn (Cliff) Gardner, and Daniel (Carol), his seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was a member of Ridgeland Community Church (Henrietta) and is remembered as a wonderful friend, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and as someone who loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind and strength.
Friends are welcome to visit with the family during calling hours on October 29, 4-6 pm at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A celebration of his life will be held at Ridgeland Community Church on Monday October 30 at 11 am.
