Rochester, NY: Peacefully Wednesday, November 11, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his grandson, Matthew Bauersmith, and sister and brother-in-law, Jean (Edward) Weather. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, M. Vivian (Adams) Bauersmith, children, Eileen Bode (and fiancé Anthony Armignacco), Thomas (Joni) Bauersmith, James Bauersmith, Nancy (William) Pool, Laraine (Richard) Randolph; grandchildren, Brian (Stephanie) Bode, Darlene (Richard) White, Lee Ann (Stephen) Carey, ST Sgt. Daniel Bauersmith USAF, Jennifer Bauersmith (and fiancé Shane Rzechula), Jill Bauersmith, Katherine (Peter) Perrello, Kevin Pool; step-grandchildren, James and Michael Pool; great-grandchildren, Brendan, Christopher, Emily, Kaylee, Tabitha, Ariel and Noah; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Ray worked for Lew-Mark Baking Company (Archway) for many years. He was a decorated WWII Army veteran.
Friends are invited to call Saturday, November 14th, 2 - 4 pm with Memorial Service at 4 pm at New Comer Funeral Home 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ray's memory to the Gates Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc., 1600 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. Interment at the convenience of the family.
