ROCHESTER- Raymond M. "Buddy" Jones, 76, passed away on April 18, 2021 surrounded by the love of his family.
Ray was born in Rochester, NY on June 7, 1944 to the late Earl and Blanche Jones. Ray served his country honorably in the United States Army after high school. On May 4, 1968 Ray married the love of his life, Sharon. They were married for over 50 years and together they raised two children. He worked for Eastman Kodak Co., for 32 years. Ray will be remembered for his love of woodworking and tinkering with cars, especially Corvettes. His passion in life was his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon, his children, Todd (Tara) Jones, and Diahanna Jones, his grandchildren, Morgan and Mitchell, his siblings, Gary, Joyce, Gail, E.J., Roy, Debbie, and Craig, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ray's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675
