Ontario, NY: Monday, October 12, 2009 at age 70. Predeceased by his parents, Raymond Ira Hammond and Fidesann (Kelly) Griffin; sister, Barbara Markel. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Norma (Shaw) Hammond; sons, Douglas (Marty Bush) Hammond, Michael Hammond and Chad Hammond; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hammond and Luke Manning; sisters, Janet (Ronald) Lane and Cathy Demchuk; aunt, Ruth DeBree; several nieces, nephews and friends. Raymond was a Navy Veteran and a retiree of the Xerox Corp.
Family and friends may call Thursday 5-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue where his Funeral Service will follow at 8 PM. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Road North, Rochester, New York 14609 in Raymond's memory.
