Reinhold Bachmann

Reinhold Bachmann, husband of Genevieve (Seubert) Bachmann, father of five: Becky Bachmann, Daniel Bachmann, Stefan Bachmann, Erin (Bachmann) Meyer, and Mary (Bachmann) Sober, grandfather to seven, was a lover of nature, a purveyor of kindness and the most honorable and principled person. He was a scholar and at the same time extraordinarily pragmatic and practical. He was at his best while camping, taking his family cross country skiing or identifying the right Christmas tree from the land he cultivated. He was an avid reader and worrier about the direction of the world. He loved his liverwurst with strong mustard, his Limburger cheese on rye with raw onion, but most of all his beautiful bride and his family. We are at a loss; he is an irreplaceable good person, but he has taken his place now at the Stammtisch, having an ale with Stefan, and licked by the incorrigible Libby the lab and Lady.

We would be grateful if you would like to celebrate his life with us on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. His Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Holy Cross, 4492 Lake Ave. Private Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. 

 Donations in Rei’s name can be given to Light Hill Light Hill or Pelotonia.
