Rochester: Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at age 77 at home. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, David Albert Allen Sr.; children, David Allen Jr., Danby Flint Allen and Darryl Augustus Allen; grandchildren, Alexis & Dillon Allen, Dalton & Danielle Allen, Eric Mitchell and other grandchildren; brothers, Billy L. (Ernestine) Mangum, Carl E. Mangum and sister, Carolyn (Ben) Mangum-Jackson; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughter, Doloria Allen and brother, Elmo Mangum Jr.
Dolores graduated from Winston Salem North Carolina Teachers College in 1955 with a Bachelor's Degree, worked for the Department of Social Services for 29 years and had a Master's Degree from Colgate Rochester Divinity School in Theology (May 5, 1990).
Family and friends may call Thursday, October 29th, 5-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue where her Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 8 PM. The Rev. Dr. Charles Thurman will be officiating. Private Interment.
