Fairchild, Richard B. Sr.
HAMLIN: Went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 11, 2007 at age 81. Predeceased by his children, Matthew, Richard II and Victoria Fairchild. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Naomi (nee, Layman); children, Kathryn Fairchild, Elisa Weber, Melissa (Scott) Padoleski, Sandra (Michael) Malley; stepsons, Richard (Charlene), Raymond (Eden) and Phillip Marsh; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; niece and nephews; many friends. He was a WW II veteran and a Major in the Rochester City Police Dept. serving for 27 years.
Family will receive friends 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM Tuesday at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. followed by a service at 8 PM.
A Memorial Service will be held 7 PM Friday at the First Bible Baptist Church, 1039 North Greece Rd., Rochester, NY 14626. Donations may be made to the church building fund.
