Richard N. Clauss

Chili- Richard N. Clauss, 77, of Earl Street passed away Friday May 21, 2021 at home of natural causes. Richard was born on November 3, 1943 in Batavia, NY to the late Roy & Mary Eleanor (Gage) Clauss. He was a graduate of LeRoy High School in 1961. He also obtained a certificate in Cartooning from Art Instruction, Inc. In California, an Associates degree in Applied Science in Audiovisual Technology from Monroe Community College, a certificate from Bryant and Stratton as a Real Estate Salesperson, a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Rochester Business Institute and a Bachelors Degree of Science from Rochester Institute of Technology. He enjoyed drawing and researching history. He spent his last 20 years driving the same bus route for First Student at the Bickford hub.

He was predeceased by brother Robert W. Clauss (1947). He is survived by an aunt Shirley Williams of Rushville, brothers David Clauss of LeRoy and Gary Clauss of New Mexico, a niece Stacie (James) Bauersmith of Gates and a nephew Jeffrey (Aimee) Clauss of Wyoming, 6 great-nieces and nephews, 4 great-great nieces and nephews and cousins Harry Clauss of Webster, James Clauss of California, Nancy Randall of Canandaigua, Linda Meza of Middlesex, Sharon Everts of Cortland, Bill Williams of Rushville, Alan Williams of Rushville, Patricia Mothersell of Geneseo, Phillip Gage of Marathon, Marvin Gage of Virginia and Ronald Madsen of Palmyra.

There will be no prior calling hours and a private family service will be held at Machpelah Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to the Rundell Library system.
