Passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024 at the age of 95.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Anna Corrigan; brothers Raymond & James Corrigan.
He is survived by his Loving wife of 70 years, Mary Ellen Corrigan; Children, John, Kevin (Gloria), Kathleen (Dion Doucet), Richard (Kelly) Jr., Thomas (Lori) & Christopher (Sheila); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Dick was a graduate of Monroe High School class of 1946. He was a United States WWII Army Veteran, a corporal in Counter Intelligence stationed in Japan. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1949. Dick studied Technical Education at RIT. He was an award winning Union Carpenter in Rochester, NY. Dick was very proud of the house he built in the town of Henrietta in 1955, where he & his wife raised their family & lived into his 90's. In the 1970's Dick owned and operated "Village Countertops", a kitchen and bath remodeling company in the Village of Honeoye Falls, NY.
Dick and his wife enjoyed traveling to Ireland, Hawaii and cruising the Virgin Islands on a Windjammer. The couple were able to explore the continental USA in their 1970's Airstream RV. During retirement, Dick and his wife wintered in Port Richey, Florida. His hobbies included Hunting and Golf. Dick was dearly loved, he will be missed and remembered fondly.
A Mass will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at 10:00AM, at St Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angel's Church, 2061 E Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14623. Immediately following Mass, will be Richard's interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Rush Scottsville Rd. Rush, NY 14543.
