Howard, Richard E., Sr. "Zeke" "Dick"
Rochester: March 14, 2008, at age 78, after a brief battle with cancer. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlene (Mower) Howard; children Diane Rohn, Linda (Frank) Sharp, Cynthia (Doug) Miller, Richard, Jr., Nancy (William) Vogt, Joan (Terry) Kaufman, John; grandchildren, Sean Sharp, Clayton and Natalie Miller, Benjamin and Kelly Kaufman, Neila Hand, Adele, James, Erin, and Danielle Vogt; brothers, Don of Rochester and Heenan "Dutch" (Donna); sisters, Katherine (Charlie) Snell and Dorothy Wolff of AZ. He was a 1948 graduate of Alexander Central, a member of the National Guard. He was a Kodak retiree after 38 years of service. He was an avid square dancer for 35 years, car enthusiast and camper. Dick was a long time member of the Greece Baptist Church.
Friends may attend calling hours 4-7 pm Monday at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Funeral Service will be held 10am Tuesday at Greece Baptist Church, 1230 Long Pond Rd., Rochester, NY 14626. Interment, Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greece Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
