Passed away suddenly on July 26, 2023 at his home in Kendall, NY.

He is predeceased by his father Seldon Ferguson; brother David Flaitz; sister Marie Duckett.

He is survived by his loving & supportive wife of 31 years, Patricia Y. Ferguson; mother Daisie (Chilson) Ferguson; brother John L. Ferguson; special nephew Nikolas R. Curry, Navy Lieutenant serving in Japan; several nieces & nephews living in the Palmyra area.

Graduating from Damien College & UB Law School in Buffalo in 1988; he was admitted to the NYS Bar Association in 1989. He began practicing NYS Workers' Compensation law in 1989. He represented WC Defense firms for his first seven years, transferring his skills to representing WC Claimants for an additional twenty six years. His final thirteen years he had his private practice, while working with his wife. During the course of his practice he was known to host several Continuing Legal Education seminars, covering a range of workers' compensation issues. He also served on the Governors Advisory Council of NYS, working on Workers' Comp reforms. He had retired from practice in 2022, after thirty three years of successful service.

He will be missed by his family, friends, & the claimants he genuinely served. He will be best remembered for his integrity, humor, compassion, generosity, & a willingness to help anyone who needed it.

He is being cremated, per his wishes & a memorial service will be held in the near future.

Cherish life. Hug the ones you love, then hug them again for life is a precious gift....
