Richard was born in Rochester, NY on February 22, 1937 to the late Thelma and Richard "Buddy" Habes.
Richard and Carol together raised seven children. Richard was a devoted father and husband who worked in sales for Fuller Brush and other sales positions. His passion in life was his family. He was an avid golfer and club champion at Durand Eastman golf course. He was very active in many hunting organizations including National Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, Lake Plains Waterfowl and many other local conservation clubs. He was awarded many times for his dedication to all these organizations and programs.
He is predeceased by his wife, Carol; children, Richard Habes Jr., Sally Taylor, & Michelle D'Angelo; sister, Nancy Rathke.
He is survived by his children, Jean Habes, Marsha Cooper, Peter Habes, & Jeff Habes; sister, Joyce Pagano; his 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
His Funeral Mass, along with Carol & Sally, will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. Rita's Church, 1008 Maple Drive, Webster.
