Rochester: Tuesday, August 11, 2009 after a short but courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Judi; children, Richard Jr., (Teresa), David, Jeffrey and Jeri Lynn Jones; grandchildren, Richard III and David Jr. Jones, Barbara Ann (Christopher) Bean, Joseph Jones and Haley Barker-Jones; brothers, Thomas (Ann), Harry (Patricia) and Jack Jones; sister-in-law, Lynn Spriggs; brother-in-law, William Spriggs; many nieces, nephews and closest friend, "Hoagie". Richard was a dedicated member of the Ushers and Ticket Takers Union Local B90.
Family and friends may call Friday, 4-7 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, where his Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 7 PM. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heritage Christian Services, 349 West Commercial Street, Suite 2795 East Rochester, NY 14445 in Richard's memory.
