ROCHESTER- Richard S. "Dick" Mather, 89, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 surrounded by the love of his family.
Dick was born in Buffalo, NY on October 10, 1931 to the late Stuart and Helen Mather. September 25, 1954 Dick married Patricia Mather. They were married for 39 years until her passing in 1993 and together they raised three children. Dick was a loyal employee to Xerox for over 30 years. Dick will be remembered for his love of birds. He was a licensed Bird Bander with the BBRR.
Dick is predeceased by his wife, Patricia, and his brother, David Mather.
He is survived by partner, Carolyn Cass, his children, Kenneth Mather, Kathleen Mather, and Laura (Roger) Couch, his sister, Sue (Paul Lenox) Lynch, his grandchildren, Jason (Rebecca) Couch, and Amanda Couch, and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 3:00pm-6:00pm. A funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
