Penfield- Richard "Rick" Lee Murphy Jr.,53, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022.
Rick was born in Rochester, NY on August 1, 1969 to Richard and Barbara Murphy. Rick served his country honorably in the United States Army. Rick loved the outdoors: camping, fishing and hunting. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees fan. Lover of Nascar and The Glen. He always treasured his family's vacation to Disney and several trips to NYC.
Rick will always be remembered for his big personality, fun loving self, and his ability to make others laugh.
He will be missed by many!
Rick is survived by his wife, Christine, and his children, Katlyn and Adam Murphy. His parents and siblings Debbie Pryzlak, Darlene Davison and Steve Murphy. Cousin, John Saunders, and nieces and nephews along with many life long friends.
Calling hours will be held at NewComer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY on October 24,2022 from 6-9pm.
A military burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Harris Whalen Lodge, 2126 Penfield Rd., Penfield, NY at 2pm.
