Richard was a devoted husband, the most loving father and grandfather and once he became a great grandfather he was opened up to a world of love even he did not know was possible, his label of "great" was surpassed by immeasurable love. His happiness in life was his family and it showed with the constant smile he had on his face. He never needed or wanted more, he was content with all that he had built with his beautiful wife, Gay. He was the epitome of a man, the most kind and loving, he was gentle yet strong, he had a heart of gold; there was not one thing he wouldn't do for anyone. He was the most selfless person, he put everyone above himself no matter the cost to him. Anyone that met Richard instantly felt his love, and he was loved by all. Richard loved gardening and being out in the sun, his tomatoes were always the best and he loved sharing with them everyone. Cooking for everyone was one of his most enjoyable of things, it didn't matter what day of the week it was, he always over cooked and someone always stopped by to have dinner with him and his wife; he was the best at cooking everything! One thing Richard loved to do was drink tea and eat cookies with his grandchildren and great children, while sitting at the table laughing, telling his silly stories, goofy jokes and maybe playing UNO. Richard was too good for this world but he fulfilled his duty here and he did so with honor, integrity and grace for 90 beautiful years.
Richard aka Papa, will be deeply missed by his beloved family and those that knew and loved him.
