Richard E. Phillips

March 5, 1947 — July 14, 2021

Richard "Rich" Phillips 74, of Fairport, NY passed away unexpectedly on July 14th, 2021. He was born in Watertown, NY to the late Geraldine and William Phillips, Sr. He started out his working career in Syracuse, NY as a Newspaper Boy who did more visiting than delivering his papers. He worked at Syracuse Supply Co., served in the Navy where he also played softball. He then went on to work at Western Electric, then onto Telex, Hitachi, and finally IBM as a Computer IT Representative. Rich was an avid Yankees, Buffalo Bills, and Sabres fan. Rich was an avid golfer and played at Eagle Vale Golf Club. Rich loved working on his computers, taking care of his yard and puttering in his workshops. Spent time at the family camp at Raquette Lake when he could.

He is survived by his loving wife, Andree Grenier; two children, Terry and Kristin; four grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. He is also survived by his brothers, William (Carol) Phillips, Jr., Robert his twin (Carol) Phillips and his sister, Michelle Phillips. Also by many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Rich's life starting at 3:00pm on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. Rochester, NY 14609.
