Richard Alan Proia
July 28, 1953 — April 16, 2020
Went home to be with the Lord & his Heavenly Family on April 16, 2020 at the age of 66, he will be sorely missed.
Predeceased by his parents, Salvatore & Theresa; siblings, Nina Rush, Stephen, & Theresa.
Survived by his loving wife, Brenda; children, John Mark & Angelina; step-children, Larmar (Meagan) Lindsay & Sandra Lindsay-Bennett; siblings, Sam (Mary) Proia, Mark Proia, Anita (Edwin) Clark, Alan (Dori) Proia, Lana Turk, Perry (Helen) Proia, & Gina Martin; many nieces & nephews; mother of his children, Alice Proia.
Richard was devoted to his family. He was a God fearing, loving, kind person who was humble in his beliefs about life & people. He was an Umpire for many years, with the Rochester District Umpire Association & he loved running marathons.
He Graduated from MCC with an Associates Degree & RIT with a Bachelors in Accounting. Richard worked for the East Irondequoit school district for over 25 years.
His services will be private.
