Richard "Butch" Wall
December 21, 1955 – October 13, 2022
Richard Edward "Butch" Wall was born in Rockingham, North Carolina to Richard D. Wall and Jean M. Anderson on December 21, 1955. Richard is the third eldest of seven children, and is predeceased by his father Richard D. Wall, Grandmother Margaret Wall, Grandfather William "Billy" Wall.
The Wall family made their way from Rockingham, NC to Rochester, NY in 1959 where Richard attended school #3 and James Madison High School. Richard, affectionately known as "Butch" was a dedicated and hardworking man who worked for H&H delivery, Portland Avenue Tire Shop, and due to the progression of vision loss; he worked for ABVI Goodwill as a fulfillment clerk, then later retired as a shipping supervisor.
If Butch missed and family gathering, it was due to his love of traveling. He enjoyed fishing trips, baking his favorite sweets and calling his children and siblings to brag about how they "can't get none." Butch loved his mother dearly, called her daily; and there was nothing he wouldn't do for her. He would argue that, "that's my mommy" to anyone. A big kid at heart, who will truly be missed.
Butch passed away peacefully at his home in Rochester, NY due to complications from lung cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory; Wife, Deborah Wall (Neal); Daughter, Angela Williams; Sons, Andre and Richard K. Wall, all of Rochester, NY; Eleven grandchildren; Sisters, Belinda (James) Smith of Hephzibah, GA. Diana (Alexander) McLaughlin of Rockingham, NC. Sheila Everett and Michelle Wall of Rochester, NY; Brothers, Michael (Arnitra) Wall, Timothy Wall of Rochester, NY; half-brother, Richard (Maria) Baker of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, 12:00pm – 1:00pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY 14609. Service to follow wake and reception at 1:00pm.
