Greece: Sunday,November 30,received into the arms of the Lord to be with beloved husband, Bob, who predeceased her in August 2005. Also predeceased by daughter-in-law, Lorraine Engel. She is survived by her sons, Edward (Carolyn) Engel, John Engel, of Washington, ME and Dan Engel, daughters, Kathryn Engel, of Camden, ME, and Mary Engel; and so special to her heart, the grandchildren, Jason (Jehnika) Lundy, of Northport, ME, Andrea Thrasher, Katie Engel, Lee (Mara) Engel, Karen (Rodger) Merritt, Keith Engel, Sean Engel, of Union, ME, and Laura Engel, of Union ME; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Elsa, and Leo; sisters-in-law, Betty (Richard) Smith, of Hemet, CA, and Doris Bellinger, of Greeley, CO; cousin, Shirley London; niece & nephews. Also Daisy & Lily. Rita was a Supervisory Field Representative and retired from the United States Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census. We have warm memories of her and Bob. Please God, let them live in our hearts forever.
Family and friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Rita's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday morning, 9:30 AM at St. Boniface Church, 330 Gregory St. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm or the "Adopt a Student" Program at St. Boniface Catholic church.
