Rochester: Saturday, November 6th, 2010, at age 87. He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Dolores (Barth). Survived by his children, Sandra (Mike) Doherty, Janice Carroll, Mary Knitter, Joseph Knitter, Robert (MaryKay) Knitter; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer Knitter; along with many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Robert was a WWII Army veteran. He was also a 42 year retiree from Eastman Kodak.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 11th, from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Robert's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2400 W. Ridge Rd. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. BOX 4777, New York, New York 10163.
