Received into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at age 81.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rita(O'Connell) Engel; sons,
Edward (Carolyn) Engel,John Engel of Washington, ME, Dan (Lorraine);
daughters, Kathryn Engel of Camden, ME and Mary Engel; grandchildren,
Jason Engel, of Wilmington, DE, Andrea (Brock)Thrasher, Katie, Lee, Karen
and Keith Engel, Sean Engel of Castine, ME and Laura Engel of Union, ME; sisters, Betty (Richard) Smith of Hemet, CA and Doris Bellinger of
Fort Collins, CO; aunt, Hazel Holland; cousins, Shirley and David London;
1 niece and 4 nephews. Also, Daisy and Lily.
He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company after 41 years of service as a Pipefitter.
Bob was blessed with his loving family and devoted friends.
It was known that he never had a bad word to say about anyone.
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Highland Hospital
for Bob's considerate care during these past weeks, especially those of
units East 6, ICU, West 5 and West 7.
Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 7-9 at the New Comer Family Funeral Home
2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Bob's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning
at 10 AM at Holy Family Church, 415 Ames Street. Private Interment.
