Gone home to be with the Lord Friday, December 15, 2006, at age 81. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Esther; 4 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marjorie; son, Robert (Pearlene) Stoddard; daughter, Jennie (Gary) Barchet; grandchildren, Larry (Kim) Stoddard, Robert Stoddard Jr. and Karen (Robert) Palermo; great-grandchildren; sister, Florence (David) Carlson of Avoca, NY; brother-in-law, Walter (Dorothy) Warner of Skylerville, NY; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Annie and 3 cats.
Robert was the first attendee of First Bible Baptist Church and a faithful member. Founder of Brockport Ambulance Corps, past chief of the Greece Auxiliary Police, a member of the Greece Volunteer Ambulance, a former NYS Trooper, and a WWII Navy veteran.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Interment on Wednesday, at 11 AM at Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December, 26th at 7 PM, at First Bible Baptist Church. Contributions may be made to the First Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, 1039 North Greece Rd., Rochester, NY 14626 in his memory.
