Robert E. Moore, age 83, passed away peacefully at Monroe Community Hospital on Friday October 14th, 2022.
"Bob" Moore was born on May 6th, 1939, in Michigan City, IN to mother Viola "Vi" (McKee) Moore and father John B. Moore. He graduated from Hammond High School in 1957 and earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from Perdue University. He married his wife Adele Marie Newton (Moore) in Rochester, NY on September 21st, 1961.
He is survived by his wife Adele Newton Moore, son Steven Robert Moore, daughter-in-law Patty Moore, granddaughters Sarah and Elizabeth Moore; son Patrick David Moore, daughter-in-law Tracy Moore, granddaughters Molly, Amy, and Kellie Moore; daughter Shannon Moore Lyaski, son-in-law Matthew Lyaski, and grandson Daniel Lyaski. Robert was predeceased by his sister, Kathryn Louise Bell of Culver City, CA.
He was a gardener, artist, animal lover, music lover and model train enthusiast, hosting the Iron Horse Railroad Club in his home and building track for the Finger Lakes Live Steamers for many years.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
