Robert L. Schwartz
1940-2023
Chili, July 16, 2023: God called him to rest in eternal peace. His job was done here on earth, but his guidance from above will forever follow. Robert was a man of many hats. He was a son, a brother, an uncle to many, a friend, a proud marine in the USMC, member of the Knights of Columbus, a husband, and most of all a father & grandfather. He was the pillar of strength for his children and grandchildren. He carried his family through everything. Little did he know that he would become not only the Dad, but also a mom, grandma, babysitter, chauffeur, friend, confidant and counselor all rolled into one. He was also a survivor- he survived all of them learning to cook, the loud music, driving lessons, family gatherings and shenanigans. He loved it all and thoroughly enjoyed every bit up to his last day. The jokes, the laughter and the love will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his children: Tamira Hebert, Christine Lent, Christina Cope and James & Susan (daughter-in-law) Schwartz. His six grandchildren: Jacklyn Cope, Adam, Amanda & Shannon Hebert, Austin Lent and Heidi Schwartz. His two great-grandchildren Marianna Justiniano and Tatiana Cope. Several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his loving wife Judith M. Schwartz: Adored parents, Victor & Margaret Schwartz. Siblings: Victor & Jennie (sister-in-law) Schwartz, Dorothy and Robert (brother-in-law) Mulleady. Nephews: Robert Mulleady and Donald Schwartz Jr.
Friends and family are encouraged to join his children on Monday July 24 from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home. Located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Rochester, NY 14626.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday July 25 at St. Pius X Church at 10:00 am. Located at 3010 Chili Ave, Chili, NY 14624. Burial with military honors will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by
