Robert Joseph Shurtliff
March 18, 1934 — February 10, 2021
Wednesday February 10, 2021 at the age of 86.
Predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Shirley Shurtliff; parents; seven siblings; and many many dear friends.
Survived by his son, Scott (Alyson) Shurtliff; daughter, Cathy Makarchuk; grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica) Makarchuk, Danielle Makarchuk, Amy and Timothy Shurtliff; former son-in-law, Scott Makarchuk; and many other family & friends.
Bob's family would like to give special thanks to the Veterans Administration for the special care given.
Bob was born in Oswego, NY and moved to Rochester, NY after he met the love of his life Shirley. He is an Army veteran of the Korean War where he earned 4 bronze stars. He retired from Davenport Machine after many years. Bob also played a mall Santa, a role he thoroughly enjoyed.
Bob loved his children and grandchildren dearly.
Friends may call Monday February 15, 3-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Burial will be held privately at White Haven Memorial Park.
NYS Guidelines are enforce. Masks, social distancing masks, 35 mourners maximum capacity in our chapels.
