Bob H Wells, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, at the age of 83, in Rochester NY. Born on February 6, 1942, in Greenport, Long Island, NY, Bob lived a full and accomplished life, deeply touching the hearts of those around him.
Bob is survived by his wife Jean Wells, son Matt Wells, son Christian Shaw and wife Fran (North Carolina), son Justin Shaw and partner Nicole (Rochester), son Nathan Shaw and wife Suzy (Connecticut) along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob spent nearly 40 years with his devoted wife, Jean. His career as a systems analyst spanned over four decades, where he made significant contributions to both Bausch & Lomb and Kodak. Notably, he was the analyst responsible for integrating the first PCs at Kodak, a testament to his forward-thinking and influential nature, earning him the affectionate moniker,
"Bob the Influencer."
Family was central to Bob's life, and his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His gentle, quiet, and unassuming demeanor made him a cherished presence in their lives. Bob and his wife through their involvement with Rotary International allowed them to travel and host international couples and students. His punctuality and thoughtful nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Bob's most favorite activity was poker every Wednesday with the guys.
