HOLLEY - Robert Thomas Wilkin, 87, died Monday, April 30, at Wedgewood Nursing Home, Spencerport, NY.
Mr. Wilkin was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Murphy Wilkin, whom he married on September 26, 1960. He and his wife were longtime residents of Holley, NY.
Mr. Wilkin attended Marshall High School, was a Marine veteran of the Korean War, and was employed for many years in the trucking industry by Clancy Carting Company.
He is survived by his children, Chris (Deby) Wilkin, Ellen (Dave Wiley) Wilkin, Paul (Julie) Wilkin, Kevin (Ellen Faye) Wilkin and Wendy (John) Dunn; grandchildren Kate and James; Miles and Charlotte; and Dylan and Charlee; brother John E. "Jack" Wilkin; sisters Rosemary Cosgriff (Art), Mary Marvin (Jim) and Barbara (Timothy) Howland; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wilkin also was predeceased by his brothers, Jeff Wilkin (Kay), Bill Wilkin (MaryJo) and Gerry; and sisters Ann (Bill) Crandall and Norene (Jack) Ellison. He also was predeceased by his sister-in- law, Eileen Murphy Wilkin.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester.
A service will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester.
