CAMERON- Roger Barney, 80, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 surrounded by the love of his family.
Roger was born in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Douglas and Eloise Barney on October 22, 1939. On April 19, 1974, Roger married the love of his life, Jean. They were married for 46 years and together they raised six children. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Co., where he held multiple patents. In his retirement he enjoyed wine making, hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of Steuben County Coonhunters Association, where he served as a Bench Show Judge. He bred and raised multiple grand champion show dogs. He was a lifelong member of Hannibal Lodge Masons. His passion in life was his family.
Roger was predeceased by his beloved son, Douglas, on July 28, 1970.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, his children, Robyn Knapp, Roger (Kristin) Barney, Rick (Debbie) Hann, Steven Hann, Kevin (Ellen) Hann, Dan (Debbie) Hann, his grandchildren, Sandy, Ryan, Morgan, Jacob, Paul, Steven Jr., Matthew, Emily, Rachael, Nicholas, Kara, Daniel, his great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Joey, Kyndal, Ainsley, Bryleigh, and Olivia, and his great-great-grandson, Lucas, and his sister, Sharon Vaughn.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Roger's name to B. Thomas Golisano Hope Lodge, 1120 S Goodman St, Rochester, NY 14620.
