Ronald Lee Jamalkowski passed away on December 8th, 2020. He passed, peacefully, in his sleep. He was 77.
Ron was born on October 22nd, 1945, in Batavia, New York. While still an infant, his family moved to Webster, New York where he attended Webster Central School District before transferring to East Ridge High School where he graduated in 1964.
He often tells the story of how he moved from his hometown of Webster during his high school years and met his beloved wife, Diane. They spent many years together until her passing in 2007. Ron and Diane lived in Irondequoit for about 10 years before having their first child, James Jamalkowski, then moved to Saffron Lane in Webster, NY and had their second child, Abby (Jamalkowski) Smith. Ron lived on Saffron Lane for 45 years. He loved his hometown and was proud of the life he built there.
Ron had a kind heart and loved both animals and people. He was always the guy at a party that would find the cat or dog and spend time visiting with them while others were milling around. He loved when people smiled and did everything he could to make that a reality. Whether he was cracking a joke, telling a story or deep in conversation he always wanted to leave people happier than he found them.
He is predeceased by his wife Diane C. Jamalkowski and his parents Henry and Mary Jamalkowski. He is survived by his children, James Jamalkowski and Abby (Shawn) Smith; sister, June Pheta; In-laws Gary and Donna Kozlowski, Nancy C. Deering; Nieces, Katie (Trisha), Stacey (Anton), William, Laurie, and Mark.
A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at White Haven Memorial.
