Ronnie Lee Ellis, known to many as "Pig", was born on April 16, 1951 to the late James Cleveland and Edith Ellis in Sanford, Florida. "Pig" was the second oldest of six siblings.
Pig enjoyed the likes of music. He played the drums, guitar, organ, and the piano. As a teenager Pig sang in a music group and on shows in little towns around the city. He was hired to tour and play drums for the singer "Ray C" and can be heard on several records from 1970 to 1971. Pig left the band because of his mother's concerns for his traveling at a young age. Pig was a jack of all trades. He could and would fix anything. Pig also spent many many years working for Action Box.
Pig was called home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2021.
He is predeceased by his sisters, Marynell and Shirley Ellis, and daughter, LaRonda Rucker.
He leaves to mourn brothers, Willie and Hurace Ellis, sister, Deborah Ellis, nephews, George Ellis, Darrel Green, Ralph Lewis, and Donnell Alexander, nieces, April Ellis, Calandra (Ernest Session) Ellis, Misery Patterson, Shernell Ellis, Serree Ellis, Tanya Lewis, Ronicca Ellis, and PaTraya Brownd, and a large host of great, and great-great nieces, nephews, and close friends.
