Rosa Julia (Olan) Colon, 71, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020.
She was born on March 3, 1949 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Rosa worked as a CNA for over 20 years and then became a daycare provider after a year of retirement. Rosa was easy going with a spicy personality, she loved to laugh, had a tremendous sense of humor and was the center of attention.
She had a green thumb for flowers, which would be displayed around her home, but red roses were her favorite.
Rosa had a passion for cooking, especially on Thanksgiving and special gatherings, and would call up her family and friends to try what she has prepared. She adored long drives, going out to eat, particularly for steak, fish fry, chicken wings, and ice cream. Rosa was a hard worker, especially when her mind was set on something, even up until the day she went to the hospital.
Left to honor her memory are Rosa's 5 children Maria (Joseph) Reyes, Neyda Perez, Angel (Noemi) Perez, Iris Santiago, and Evelyn Perez, 10 grandchildren.
