Lockhart, Rosalind M. (Helfrich)
On Saturday, March 11, 2006 at age 96. She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, William; daughter, Shirley Higgins; grandson, Jay Paul Blakeslee of Norfolk, VA; and son-in-law, James E. Blakeslee. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Jeanne (Earl) Hunter; grandchildren, William (Gail), David (Pat), Roy (Kelly), Raymond (Laurie), and Kevin (Mary) Higgins, Estelle (Roger) Webb, Robert Blakeslee, Trudy (Rick) Cassano, Jill and Lori Blakeslee, and John Cookinham; 19 great-grandchildren, Chris and Kyle Webb, Robert and Brittany Blakeslee, Lisa and Joey Adams, Thomas Blakeslee, Brandon and Holden Cookinham, Sarah Scott, Justin, Jason, Matt, Mindy, Brian, Jeff, Mark, and Anthony Higgins; son-in-law, C. Curtis (Jackie) Higgins and brother, George (Audrey) Helfrich; along with many nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends. The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, caregivers and aides who took such good care of Rosalind at Independant Living for Seniors. Rosalind was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Bank for over 30 years.
There will be no prior calling hours. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 18 at 11:30 AM in Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., with the Rev. John Rief Officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Red Cross Blood Bank Program, 50 Alexander St., Rochester, NY 14607 or to Holy Redeemer/ St. Francis Xavier General Building Fund, 34 Theresa St., Rochester, NY 14605.
